Q. Why can't wireless network detect collision?

Answer =

Collisions occur when multiple transmissions take place at the same over a network Wireless networks are half duplex in nature, i.e., they cannot listen while transmitting (and while listening they cannot transmit - only one operation at a time). Hence they cannot find out if any other transmission is taking place simultaneously, and thus cannot detect collisions.
