Q. Differentiate between Proprietary License and Open Source License.

Answer :-

In Proprietary Licenses, exclusive rights in the software are retained with the owner/developer/publisher. They reserve all the freedoms and rights to use and distribute these proprietary software. Violation of the proprietary license amounts to copyright infringement. They restrict inspection, modification of source code and further distribution.

On the other hand, Free and Open Source License refers to a software that users can safely run, adapt and redistribute without legal restraint, and which emphasizes on freedom.
